Hunting in Maine

It is said by veteran hunters that the Moosehead Region is one of the best hunting grounds. Large and inhabited forests provide excellent cover for deer, bear and small game. In every direction are hardwood ridges, one after another, small swamps of cedar and fir between. Old logging roads penetrating deep into the woods make excellent hunting.

During the early fall hunting season, our meals are served family style with an early breakfast, lunch packed for the noon meal consisting of sandwiches, hot coffee, fruit and pastry and a hearty supper at night. Regular rates apply.

Winter Rates:
Limited accommodations are available during the winter hunting season at MAYNARDS-IN-MAINE. $325.00 Weekly per person - Sunday to Sunday. These efficiency cabins come with cooking facilities to prepare your own meals.
