It is an honor to announce that we, the Gallants, are the new owners of Maynard’s In Maine. It is a great privilege to carry on this well-loved, historic landmark whose rich heritage is steeped in all that Moosehead Lake area has to offer. Our mission is to maintain the quintessential Maine camp experience Maynard’s has been known for - while updating the accommodations, facilities and services for our guests, old and new.
As Maine natives, the Northern Woods have always been a special place to us. In 2007, the family set roots in Rockwood and enjoy all of our free time here. We are excited that we not only get to do that more now, but that we get to do it with you!

-Restaurant NEWS-
We are excited to share that Maynard’s rezoning application has been approved, allowing the property to move forward as a conforming recreational lodging facility. This approval represents an important step in the future of Maynard’s and allows us to begin planning the next phase of improvements.
While this approval lays the foundation for what’s ahead, reopening the restaurant will require additional work before we can welcome guests back. The restaurant requires significant updates and renovations, along with additional permitting and state licensing, to ensure it meets current building, health, and safety standards.
Our goal is to thoughtfully restore the restaurant while preserving the character, history, and traditions that have made Maynard’s a special destination for so many over the years. We are committed to doing this the right way and creating a space that can be enjoyed for generations to come.
We are incredibly grateful for the patience, encouragement, and support we have received throughout this process. We will continue to share updates as progress is made and look forward to welcoming guests back to Maynard’s when the time is right.
